Jaylene...the dancing queen!

This is my dancing-ballerina-niece, Monika Jaylene! And at 6-years old, she had her first ballet recital! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to be there, but I'm sure she did great! Even as a baby, Jaylene always appreciated music, and dancing with me while she was in my arms. Every time I come to Toronto to visit, she's learned a new song to sing to me (she knows more of the words than I do!), or a new dance move from some of the music videos she's seen (she can do those J-Lo turns, with the J-Lo "look"). Don't grow up too fast Jay!

Happy Birthday Irie!

Irie is my brother's bulldog. She's ONE today! Hard to believe it...I wasn't there the day that my brother got this dog, but I remember being surprised that he actually got one! Based on my family's history with pets (Nanook-the canary that froze to death; the goldfish Sarah dissected; Chicago, the bird my mom ended up vacuuming!; and Putty, the guinea pig that died on me a week after I had it in my care), it just didn't seem likely that any of us could take care of one! But here's Irie, one year later. My brother completely spoils her! (only Brita-filtered water for that dog, lemme tell ya')...But she's a good-lookin' dog. Everytime I take her out for a walk, I'm guaranteed at least one compliment from a stranger: "she's such a beautiful dog!" or "that's a great-looking dog!"....gee, the dog gets more compliments than I DO!! hehe...Happy Birthday Irie! Tell your daddy I say you can sleep on my side of the couch tonight! :)

Duo bday celebration!

A group of coworkers took Charlene and I out to Moishes Restaurant (one of Montreal's top steakhouses!) for our birthdays. It was deeee-licious! Starting off with a Gin martini, I then had some potato latkas, followed by some grilled scallops, and french fried onions. My main meal consisted of the junior rib steak (not so junior, lemme tell ya'), which was accompanied by Moishes famous Monte Carlo potato. It was definitely crave-worthy! :)

Rose

Rose came for a visit tonight! She had a stop-over in Montreal, so we went for a drink at Newtown, and then dinner along Prince Arthur. It was nice to just sit down, have some wine, and catch up with her.

Cavalia!

I watched the show "Cavalia", in Laval tonight. I was quite impressed with the acrobatic performances, as well as the stage effects (it snowed, rained, and a lake of water suddenly became land, all in the same stage!).

Zarius

This is my favourite photo of Tanaz's little baby boy, Zarius. He is soooo CUTE! Everytime I come to visit him, he just keeps getting bigger and bigger. As with the rest of the kiddies in my life, it makes me sad that I'm not there as often as I'd like to be, but I'm hoping he recognizes me each time I come for a visit, and that he doesn't forget me. He's got the cutest dimples, and a way of always smiling at the ladies (watch out ladies, playa' in the making!) hehe

Cougarville!

Well I've officially entered Cougarville!

It was nice to see all my friends that could come out for my birthday at Bar Italia. Needless to say, I was a bit intoxicated that evening, but it was all well worth it! It's always so hard for me to see everyone that I want when I'm visiting in Toronto, so this really meant a lot to me. I had a great birthday! :)

Wedding in paradise...

From May 13-20th, I was at the Grand Bahia Principe Tulum resort (in Mayan Riviera, Mexico)...basking in the sun, to celebrate the union of Harold and Audry. It was one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever been to, not to mention one of the few that made me cry! We had great weather, good food, drinks....good times baby!
