Mom and baby yoga

We started our first mom and baby yoga class today. I hadn't done yoga since my prenatal class, and it was definitely different since there were so many babies around. Jacen slept the entire class so I did all the moves on my own (never wake a sleeping baby!).... it was nice to do the stretches that my body definitely needed!

The class has a few moms that I know so it was nice to come into the class and see all the familiar faces! See you next week ladies!

Ev & Stu's new home!

We headed out to see Ev and Stu's new home today! It was very grown-up and they did a great job of hosting us all. Their new home is beautiful, and the perfect size for their family of soon to be 4 people! Thanks for having us all over... can't wait to hang out there again!

Happy Birthday Tita Susie!

Happy 70th Birthday to Tita Susie! It's hard to believe she's that age when she looks so young! It was also the first time she, along with some of Ron's other relatives, met our little Jacen. Thanks for inviting us Tita!

Pee Pee Tee Pee's...

One of the things that my family got a kick out of was the Pee Pee Tee Pee's that we had bought. For those that don't know what that is, it's a cover for the baby male organ so that you don't get pee'd on during a diaper change!! And trust me, it happens quite often!!

I guess those things weren't around when my nephews were young, as they all laughed when they saw me using it!! Anyway, my handyman of a father decided to make me one for when he outgrows the ones I have.... check it out!! (the one on the left is what we bought, the one on the right is what my dad made)

I thought it was hilarious... and huge!! (almost fits his head) It will definitely be used until he gets bigger... heck, maybe even to his teenage years! haha

G's Birthday!

Happy 35th Birthday to Gerwyn! We headed over to their house for a celebration... what we thought was going to be a small gathering turned out to be quite the party! Hope you had a good birthday G! Can you even remember it?!?! hehe

My new favourite show!

I have a new favourite television show: Man v. Food! It started over the holidays when the show was on ALL day. The guy in the show goes around and does the food challenges across America that restaurants are known for (ie. eating a 5lb. burger, or eating 50 wings in 30 minutes... whatever the challenge, this guy does it!).

At first I thought this guy was crazy for trying these things out... but I got hooked with all the different meals some restaurants are known for. I have to admit, some of the food he tries looks quite good (all unhealthy however)!! AND, an even guiltier confession is that I would love to try some of those challenges!! hehe

Beach volleyball FAM JAM!

My cousin Leonard turned 29 yesterday, and each year he plans on something FUN to do for the whole family. This year, it was beach volleyball. It's hard to imagine playing beach volleyball when we woke up this morning to so much snow! Nevertheless, all the cousins got together at North Beach Volleyball to celebrate with Leo! I was a bit iffy on going, since I had been with a mild cold the last couple of days - but I figured sweating it out for a while might help! So off we went!

It was hilarious! Ron hadn't played volleyball since his 'broken-leg' accident years ago, so you can bet there were a lot of jokes about THAT on the court! After playing, we all headed to an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant... after which I was ready for bed!

Play Date!

I headed downtown today to spend some time with Diana and Susie. Check out how much my boy has grown (in comparison to Marley and Sully- click HERE for original photo of these three).

I'm not sure if you can actually call it a play date, as we didn't really play all that much with our babies (they all ended up sleeping!). Instead, we put our babies into baby carriers and walked along Queen Street! We ended up having hot chocolate with toasted marshmallows at a bakery called Bobbette & Belle! It was beautiful inside, and we wanted to try a lot of their goodies!! I had a great time, and hope to do it again.... thanks ladies!

My bro's birthday!

We headed to Ajax today to celebrate was supposedly was my 2 sisters' promotions at work. In reality, it was in fact a party for my brother's birthday! He had been bugging all of us about pitching in for a Playstation 3 console for the last 2 years... and today, he finally got one! But we couldn't just give it to him - we all pitched in and then presented each piece of the console to him in pieces! (ie. a controller, another controller, cords... and finally the console!) hahah! He was so happy, he had to kiss EVERYONE in the room! ewwww... Happy Birthday Bro!

Snow or shine... I'm out and about!

Quel finally wanted to meet my little Jacen (she had been sick this entire time) so we agreed to meet up for breakfast this Saturday morning. I woke up this morning and saw all the snow outside!! I was a bit unsure if I should still go, but I was really looking forward to meeting up with Quel!

Ron helped me get Jacen ready and then my baby and I headed out (Ron had to study)... snow and all! The roads weren't shoveled yet, but I made sure to drive very carefully. We met up in the Yonge/Eglinton area and had breakfast! It was great to be out and catch up with Quel! Thanks for all the goodies you brought us Quel. :)

After that, I figured since I was out I may as well make a day out of it. I dropped Jacen off with my parents for a bit as I made an appointment to get my eyebrows done (it's been a while, lemme tell you... I was starting to look like my highschool days!). After that, I hung out at my parents and had lunch there... and then it was off to the mall! Jacen and I didn't stay very long, as I had forgotten we were no longer on Christmas hours but it was a good day overall!

Once we got home, we both crashed and took a 3-hour nap!
