Cufflinks...

My hubby has never worn a shirt that requires cufflinks before. Now that he's "certified," he thought he'd step it up a notch. So he bought a shirt.... however, he had no cufflinks to use with the shirt. So I ended up getting him a pair and he finally wore that shirt today. I got cufflinks with his initials RJS on it, but then I realized that RJS could also stand for Ron, Jacen, and Sally! (which I think I prefer)

Movie with Saads & Samara!

Saads has never been to a 'Movies for Mommies' yet, and she wanted to try it out so she headed out to my neck of the woods today to meet Jacen and I at the Promenade to watch The Vow.

Samara was all smiles (see photos)! What a cutie!! And she also slept through most of the movie, which is what every mommy hopes for in that theatre. Mine, however, was quite the opposite. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the movie and especially the company. Thanks for hanging out with us Saads & Samara!

Girl time!

I met up with the girls today: Mel, Di, Ev and Saads for high tea at the Windsor Arms Hotel. It was so much fun! We all got caught up while munching on delicious mini sandwiches, scones and desserts. Oh, all while drinking tea of course. There's just something about high tea and that environment that I really enjoy. And the company wasn't bad either! ;) Thanks for a fun afternoon ladies!

Family tree...

I started doing a family tree for Jacen. The more information I received, the more I got into it, and I think now it's become more for ME! haha. My family is HUGE, and I never knew what the relation was to people I was introduced to, and now I get it!! Here's a snapshot of what I have so far... and the sad part is it's not even close to finished yet! I recommend you all take a stab at it... it's been VERY interesting so far! :)

Family weekend... and friends!

I hope everyone enjoyed themselves over the Family Day long weekend. My weekend was spent with both family and friends. We celebrated Ron's aunt's 85th birthday on Saturday night (photos above). Jacen has been a bit clingy lately, so he stayed close to one of us all night. It was funny to see Graham attempt to try and carry him though - he cried each time! Sunday, I met up with two lovely ladies for brunch at Joy Bistro. We had a few laughs and it was great to get out with the girls (no hubbies or kids!). Thanks for a lovely afternoon Di and Saads! And finally, on Monday we met up with Quel for some dim sum in Chinatown. Ron actually hasn't been in Chinatown before (except to eat at the restaurants after clubbing back in the day), so we decided to go for a walk in the area after our meal since it was so nice out!

How the rich live...

I love looking at houses. When driving around, I always wonder how the big houses look inside, and how they're decorated. Today, I finally got a chance to see. There was an open house for the Princess Margaret Hospital grand prize home (worth $3.79 million dollars), which was conveniently located in Thornhill. It was huge! I totally got lost just looking around. I loved the gourmet kitchen with 2-way fireplace, while Ron loved the games room. The master suite wasn't too shabby either - with a huge walk-in closet, and a spa-like bathroom. It was definitely an experience to walk through that entire house! And with that said, I'm off to buy a ticket!! :)

After all of these years, I am happy to announce that Ron is finally finished studying and will be a Certified General Accountant! Whooooohoooooo! I haven't been to a graduation in years, and I will be there with camera in hand, cheering for my husband when he gets his certification. Jacen and I are so proud of you!! We knew you could do it! :)
