Planet Earth...

Ron purchased the Planet Earth series in HD, as it was on sale and he had heard great things about it (not to mention his love for documentaries). So tonight, we watched the first 2 episodes of 11.

It was very interesting, and I really loved the way they captured all their shots... very scenic. Although, I have to warn you, there were some animals that had to kill during some of the scenes... ech. Each episode focuses on a different geographical region. We watched the 'Pole to Pole' and 'Mountain' episode, and I'm curious to see them all, actually... very educational!

Happy Easter!

Easter Sunday was spent going to church (of course), and then heading out to Hamilton to spend the day with Ron's family. There was lots of food, and I even came out of there with a bag of Easter goodies from Ron's cousin.

The highlight of the day was Ron's aunt coming up to me and telling me that she liked ME better than Ron's last girlfriend. Ha! Take that... :P

Glow-in-the-dark bowling!

My sister Sarah's birthday was celebrated tonight! She turned 35 (again). If she's 35, then I'm only turning 31! Sweet! :)
hehe

We went bowling with the cousins and the kids, and then we all went back to her house for some food, fun and games. The kids and ladies played Win, Lose or Draw.... while the boys played some poker. Surprisingly, Ron won both games.... my family must have taken it easy on the newbie. :P

A little disturbing...

Ron and I stayed in Good Friday night and watched Untraceable. I actually hadn't heard of it before, but was intrigued by the concept of the movie.
A secret service agent, Jennifer Marsh, gets caught in a very personal and deadly cat-and-mouse game with a serial killer who knows that people (being what they are - both curious and drawn to the dark side of things) will log onto an "untraceable" website where he conducts violent and painful murders LIVE on the net. The more people who log on and enter the website, the quicker and more violently the victim dies. Written by McCormack
I have to tell you - a bit disturbing. And in the end, I REALLY REALLY hated the bad guy. He played that role quite well! Good movie if you can take it. :P

My parents' anniversary!

We met up with my entire family tonight for a Vietnamese dinner to celebrate my parents' 39th anniversary! 14 of us in a small restaurant... you can imagine how loud we were! :)

Never a dull moment with my family though.... Happy Anniversary to my parents!

Happy Birthday Alf!

Quel came over and we 'fixed' part of the cabinet we built together, as the shelves didn't line up... oops! hehe. It didn't take long to fix, actually (thank goodness!). We then watched a movie, went swimming and then we headed to our friend Alfie's 35th Birthday get-together.

How do I have friends THAT age?? hehe. I've known Alfie for about 16 years now, and I have to say that he hasn't changed a bit! It amazes me that he's 35, when I still think we're 18! :) Happy Birthday Alf!

4 years, and this is only the beginning!

Ron and I celebrated our 4-year anniversary tonight! And this is only the beginning of many years to come.... hard to believe that we will be celebrating a wedding anniversary next year! whoo-hoo!

Ron came home with a dozen pink roses for me (our wedding colour, how sweet!), and then we wined and dined at The Keg for dinner. I'm going to the orthodontist on Friday, so I wanted to get my steak in before my braces get tightened!! It was deeeee-licious, and filling too. I didn't have room for dessert, and I really wanted one! The prime rib was so soft... definitely braces-friendly! Thanks for dinner Ron, and Happy Anniversary! Looking forward to many more years of anniversaries....
