My busy day!

My day started with an afternoon at Chuck E Cheese for Skyler's 2nd Birthday. It was Jacen's first time, and since we headed there around his nap time... he wasn't in the best of spirits.

He rode a few rides, but he was soooo tired - he had no expression, so I don't know that he enjoyed them.

We then headed to Vaughan Mills since it was nearby and we shopped for a bit, then headed to my cousin's place for the after-party of the 2-year-old. It was also our first time seeing my cousin's new pad, so it was a good fam jam!

We left early as I had another event to go to - my Today's Parent Group reunion!! It was held at The Olde Stone Cottage Pub, which is owned by one of my old TPGers. I was so tired that I wasn't sure that I should even go (it was close to my bedtime for goodness sakes!)...but as soon as I arrived, I was greeted by so many familiar faces. I laughed so hard that my cheeks and face hurt at one point!! It was hilarious to see everyone, and it honestly felt like we were back in time and it was just one of our crazy parties that we always use to have. I'm so glad I went! Good times!! :)

One-of-a-kind...

Saads, Samara, Jacen and I headed to the One-Of-A-Kind show today. I hadn't been there in a few years actually... I always like to go and get some ideas. I always like to think that I can do some of the items that they're selling on my own... but of course, I don't think I've ever attempted it. hehe.

By the end, Miss Saads bought quite a few things, while I was good - only bought food items!! YUM! Photos of Jacen and Samara flirting with each other shown above... they were making each other laugh, it was so cute!

Visiting the ROM...

Quel and I headed to the ROM today to see the Maya exhibit. Although I had already seen some of the ruins while I was in Mexico years ago, it was interesting to learn more about them.

We worked up an appetite after walking around to see the other exhibits, so we stopped off at a Mexican restaurant nearby - we thought it was fitting for the occasion.

We then walked along Yorkville since it was so nice out, and then Quel introduced me to Summer's Homemade Ice Cream!! It was so gooooood. Crave-worthy even. I can't believe I've never heard of this place! Definitely will be going back!! Thanks for a fun day Quel!!

Going to the fair!

We met up with Eswin and family today at Woodbine Centre Fantasy Fair. I had never been here before (although I'm very familiar with the race track across the street), but it's basically a mall with an indoor fair inside it!

There are only a few rides that Jacen could go on at his age, but it's a great place for kids! We rode the train and the merry-go-round, and then we walked around the mall. I must warn you, however, it's not the greatest mall out there (kinda ghetto). To end the day, we ordered a bucket of KFC fried chicken and went home! A fun day for all of us!

Scarlett's First Birthday!

We headed over to Ev & Stu's place to celebrate Scarlett's 1st Birthday today! Ev outdid herself yet again with her Sesame Street theme. Food, friends and lots of toys and activities for the kids... all in all a great day!

She also announced to her family that she was expecting her THIRD baby!! Yay, another playmate for Jacen!! I found out about it a few weeks ago, and had a good laugh about it! (3 kids under three! Now that's just crazy!!) haha. Congrats Ev & Stu!!

A sweet surprise!

I had just put Jacen down for his nap and went into our bedroom to find a gift bag sitting on my pillow! I, of course opened it right away and was surprised to find a lovely charm bracelet: the London Links Sweetie bracelet!! My sweet hubby had placed it there before going to work this morning. It was a thank you gift for supporting him during his CGA studying days.... awwww! I've always wanted a charm bracelet and I looooove this one (I was actually admiring it at the mall a couple months ago)!! Check out my first charm - a camera... perfect since I literally do bring my camera everywhere I go!! haha. Thanks Ron!!
